Lancaster Cathedral is blessed with a fine three-manual pipe organ, the finest instrument produced by Ainsough (Preston). This section of the website gives more information about the organ and its history.

The organ underwent a huge restoration project, which saw complete renovation of the soundboards, replacement of the bellows, cleaning of all the pipes and the installation of a new console.

Photos of the restoration can be seen under "Organ History". There  also a sections detailing the "Organ Spec" and "Organ History" on the "Music" Tab at the top of the website
