Synod

The Diocesan Report is now available to read

10 May 2022

The Synod Report for the Lancaster Diocese has now been submitted to the Bishop’s Conference of England and Wales. In this next period the reports from all 22 Dioceses will be synthesised into one national report for submission to Europe.

To see the Diocesan Report click here: LANCASTER DIOCESAN REPORT ON THE SYNOD PATHWAY

Because of the limited size of the report (ten pages maximum) it has not been possible to include every individual comment. Instead we have tried to represent a cross section of views from around the Diocese.

Dr Caroline Hull

Congratulations Dr Caroline Hull - Parishioner

24 March 2022

THE UK office of Aid to the Church in Need has announced the appointment of its new chief executive.

Dr Caroline Hull will take over from Neville Kyrke-Smith as national director of the British section of ACN.

Dr Hull, who is currently ACN (UK)'s Head of Community Outreach, will assume the post this Easter, as Mr Kyrke-Smith is retiring after more than three decades in the role - during which time the amount of aid the charity provided for the suffering Church increased tenfold.

Announcing the appointment, the chair of ACN (UK)'s board of Trustees, Graham Hutton, said that during an intense recruitment process Dr Hull had emerged as the strongest candidate, beating more than 30 external applicants for the post.
